Danger planes to enliven the experience of flying

Experts have recently warned that planes are regularly being flown with a critical flaw that allows the engine to build up ice, causing them to fail. The fault is believed to be the cause of the crash landing of a British Airways jet in January in which 1 person was seriously hurt. More recently Delta have reported a major incident believed to be caused by the same issue. The airlines continue to fly the danger planes in the hope that every pilot is a Sullenburg.

US air accident investigators called for a component to be redesigned after a Delta Air Lines plane reportedly encountered the problem. Manufacturers Rolls-Royce say the new part should be ready within the year. In the meantime airliners have suggested that passengers should embrace the new danger of flying saying that it will allow them to “really feel alive”

“There’s nothing like it” said a British Airways spokesperson “You know that bit in the first few episodes of Lost when all the buzzers start going off in the plane, and that poor fucker who thought he was too cool for a seat belt flies right into the ceiling. Yeah? Nothing like it in the world. Obviously it’s best if the plane doesn’t then split in half, and you end up stranded on an island with mystical time warping properties, where everyone has Daddy issues”

Delta have gone one step further and announced that until the replacement part is sent out by Rolls Royce they will be marketing journeys on the danger planes as the ‘Lost Experience’ with a re-branding of the jets so that they bear the ’815′ marker, while all flights will feature lookalikes of the cast and the ‘thrill’ of imminent death.
